    Neki means "goodness" or "the act of goodness"
  • How does Neki work?
    For a company Neki provides an all-encompassing social impact platform, allowing employees to donate, volunteer and enhance the company’s social footprint. It also provides measurement and reporting abilities to communicate social good. For employees Neki provides a social engaging way to do good at work. Neki's platform allows you to do good through volunteering (in person or directly), donate to support your favorite charity and celebrate your team’s social impact. As a Non-profit you will be able to partner with companies, enhance your fundraising and recruit top talent for volunteering needs. Neki will also provide a user-friendly platform to manage your interactions with the companies.
  • How can employees raise funds for their charity of choice?
    Choose ”Raise Funds” to start a fundraiser. In the United States 1. Select your Nonprofit (from our list of registered 501(c)(3) charities 2. Launch your fundraiser and quickly share it with your colleagues 3. Make an impact. All donations are made to PPGF which grants them to the chosen charity, subject to its policies. - Funds are granted to the charity by PayPal Giving Fund.   • How can the employee/company make a donation?
    In the United States, Employees can enroll in a PayPal wallet and make donations through the wallet by using their debit account or credit card.
  • Sending funds to a Charity
    In the United States, all individual Donations and those made through Fundraisers will be made to PayPal Giving Fund, a grant-giving IRS-registered 501(c)(3) public charity. PayPal Giving Fund receives Donations from Users and then, subject to its policies, grants Funds to the Charity selected. While PayPal Giving Fund takes multiple steps to attempt to grant donated funds according to the Donor’s identified preference, PayPal Giving Fund retains exclusive control over all Donations. If a Charity fails to meet the terms of PayPal Giving Fund’s Nonprofit Certification Policy and/or fails to meet PayPal Giving Fund’s due diligence standards for receipt of a donation at any time, PayPal Giving Fund may reassign the funds in accordance with its Donation Delivery Policy. PayPal Giving Fund will issue your tax receipt. Donations made to PayPal Giving Fund are governed by the Privacy Policy and Terms of PayPal Giving Fund. All donations made through fundraisers or individual donations on Neki are made to PayPal Giving Fund, which grants the funds to the respective charity in accordance with its policies. - Funds will not reach their destination if: A charity fails to meet the terms of PayPal Giving Fund’s Nonprofit Certification Policy and/or fails to meet PayPal Giving Fund's due diligence standards will not receive the funds. - For further information, please review PayPal Giving Fund's donation delivery policy - Bank transfer frequencies. Automatic transfers can be sent daily, weekly, or monthly*. Charities enrolled with PayPal Giving Fund receive payouts at the end of each month for the money donated before the 15th of that month. Charities not enrolled with PayPal Giving Fund will receive a mailed check within 3-5 months of the first donation.
  • Is the employee/company donation tax deductible?
    In the United States, the donation is typically tax deductible when the donor is based in the same country as the charity they support. In all cases, the donor will receive a tax receipt from PayPal Giving Fund.
  • How do I get a copy of my donation receipt?
    In the United states, if you want another copy of your donation confirmation receipt, please follow these steps to request one through our contact form: Follow the link to our contact form here Enter your email address in the prompt and enter “Get donation receipt” Receipts from certified charity fundraisers. If you donated to a charity fundraiser or made individual donations, you should have received a tax receipt from PayPal Giving Fund.
  • How can a charity partner with Neki? How to register a non-profit?
    In United States, if you are a charity or non-profit organization and are established as such under the applicable laws of incorporation (“Charity”), and you are located in the PayPal Giving Fund databases of the United States then we collect your name and email address. Thereafter, we will ask that you select your Charity and provide information to verify that you are a representative of said Charity and then sign you up onto the Neki platform. If your charity is not in PPGF’s databases, we would recommend enrolling in PayPal Giving Fund so your organization can become eligible to sign up with Neki. Enroll in PayPal Giving Fund: https://www.paypal.com/givingfund/enroll In India, you can sign up onto the Neki platform by following the instructions under "NEKI for non-profits" at the top navigation menu.
  • How does that charity receive the donations from the employees/company?
    In United States, all funds raised on Neki or donated on Neki will be donated to PayPal Giving Fund, who will grant the funds to the recommended charity, subject to its policies. See sending funds for charities for more details
  • What are the features available for charities on Neki?
    Charities are provided with a dashboard that allows them to see up-to-date revenue, create and update volunteering opportunities, and projects. It also allow them to create reports and upload impact information.
  • What are Neki's transaction fees?
    In United States, Neki's transaction fees are $0. Neki does not deduct any fee for a donation transaction. Do note that PayPal, as well as credit and debit charges, Apple Pay, or Google Pay may charge a transaction fee. We do encourage employees to add a tip with your donation to cover these costs.
  • What are Neki’s guarantees?
    Neki is dedicated to protecting company and employees data as well as donations from misuse. We have state-of-the-art fraud-prevention technologies, in the rare event that something isn't right, we will work with you to determine if misuse has occurred. Donors acknowledge that their donations will be granted to recommended charities pursuant to PayPal Giving Fund's Terms of Service. While PayPal Giving Fund takes all reasonable steps to attempt to grant donated funds according to the donor's recommendation, PayPal Giving Fund retains exclusive legal control over all donations.
